We are 3D Productions, the independent audio, lighting, staging and rigging company where quality comes first. Our story has humble beginnings. It all started in 1989, when David (our director) ignored his careers advisor and left the mining industry for a job in theatre lighting.
From there – and the first purchase of six Parcans – we’ve grown into one of our region’s largest production suppliers. Today, we power events all over the UK and Europe.
We’re Yorkshire born and bred, proud of our heritage, our dry humour and our fierce opinions about loose leaf tea. Our team is our family, and together we graft hard every day – doing what we love and delivering for our customers.
We stock leading brands and equipment that’s built to last – because investing where it counts means better quality all round.
Everyone in the 3D family has run their own events or worked as crew. Whatever your challenge, chances are we’ve been there (done that) and can give you effective advice based on real experience.
No ‘B stock', no second best. We upgrade and rotate our whole inventory, so you get consistent results time after time.
We’re honest about our offer and fair on every price. Whether it’s our exceptional service, our quality kit or our vehicle fleet on hand to deliver everything in person – you’ll always get great value for money.
Our creative thinkers and technical specialists are constantly looking for new solutions and improvements, meaning all our systems are designed to work first time, every time, all the time.
We’re here to fix problems – sometimes ones you didn’t even know existed. We ask the right questions at the right times and focus relentlessly on a solution – always responding quickly and to the best of our ability.
This website has been in the making for some time. While 2020 has been one of the most challenging for our industry, it’s finally given us the time to build a site that reflects where we are now.
We'd like to thank the following people for their help and patience:
Thanks also to the many talented local photographers who have snapped us in action: Graham Hardy for Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, as well as Tony Worrall, John Jowett, Lizzie Coombes, Danny Payne and Chris Bull - to name a few.
